On September 23, it's European Folk Day! All around Europe, people will celebrate this by making the music from their ancestors (or other people's ancestors - our motto is: if you love the music, play it!). In honour of European Folk Day, we will host an open session in the garden of 't Mandelahuisje in Amsterdam-Noord!
We will start with a small workshop to learn two European folk songs - we've asked one Irish and one Ukrainian singer to teach us these. After that, anyone can sing a song - and preferably everyone else will sing or play along. Bring your instrument, or at least your voice!
